National standard revision seminar was held in Beijing recently

In order to further improve the energy efficiency of motors and motor systems, promote the progress of motor technology and industry development, and give full play to the huge potential of energy conservation and emission reduction in the motor industry, on May 17, 2019, The National Technical Committee on Energy Foundation and Management of Standardization organized a seminar on the revision of the National Standard of Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Grades for Electric Motors and the formulation of the National Standard of Energy Efficiency Evaluation Procedures for Electric Motor Systems in Beijing to discuss the main technical contents and indicators of the standards. Leaders and experts from China Institute of Standardization, China Institute of Metrology, International Copper Association, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China Electrical Appliances Research Institute and other units, and more than 30 enterprise representatives from the National Inspection Center for Explosion-proof Products, Shandong Province Quality Inspection Institute, Fujian Province Quality Inspection Institute and so on attended the meeting.

At the meeting, experts and enterprise representatives fully affirmed the significance of the revision and formulation of the two standards. Based on the connection with IEC international standards, the scope of application, framework of energy efficiency standards, technical requirements parameters and corresponding indicators of the motor energy efficiency standards were discussed. And the goal of the motor system standard, the scope of application of the standard, the boundary of the motor system, the test method and the evaluation level of the technical requirements and other related clauses, are deeply discussed, and the perfect opinions and suggestions are put forward.

Smooth convening of the conference, the two standard is to connect and combined closely with the international standard, perfecting standard technical indicators, market to promote the important link, the effective drive motor system is running on evaluation of energy efficiency and energy saving in the process of upgrading, to expand the international market, the implementation of the motor industry, energy saving and emission reduction to achieve industrial power and green development to provide strong support.
